B.B. King – Blues Boys Tune

B.B. King plays live guitar solo. This came from the extras on the DVD The Road to Memphis:

And the only other complete performance by BB on the extras is Key to the Highway, which doesn’t have this incredibly searing guitar and is in fact pretty “lite”.

Jay Gaunt, Blues Harmonica – NJN/State of the Arts

December 12, 2011 by · 5 Comments

At 15, Jay Gaunt from Mahwah, New Jersey is a master of the blues harmonica. It all started when he was 12 and saw the The Blues Brothers movie. Since then, hes shared the stage with some of the greats. In fall 2009, State of the Arts Producer Eric Schultz visited Jay at home, at school, where Jay is on the track team, and on the road, catching him in performance at a recent Cape May Jazz Festival.

Chet Baker – Almost blue

Amazing Jazz song Almost Blue by Chet Baker / Lyrics : Almost blue
Almost doing things we used to do
There’s a girl here and she’s almost you
Almost all the things that your eyes once promised
I see in hers too
Now your eyes are red from crying
Almost blue
Flirting with this disaster became me
It named me as the fool who only aimed to be
Almost blue
It’s almost touching it will almost do
There’s a part of me that’s always true…always
Not all good things come to an end now it is only a chosen few
I’ve seen such an unhappy couple
ALMOST Me/You/Blue

Das Racist- Relax ALBUM REVIEW

Last year’s DR review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvPpOLp-8LM

Das Racist’s Relax is a bit of a letdown for me. I just didn’t enjoy it as much as the tapes. There are plenty of tracks here where the guys are their usual, hilarious selves. However, some of the funnier tracks lack the focus that make songs such as “Michael Jackson” such a hard-hitting experience. Not only that, but there are songs on here that feel, uh, normal.

What do you think of this album? Love it? Hate it? Why? What should I review next, eh?
