How do indian music industry makes profit when piracy occupied the whole indian music market ?

Everyone can get music from internet or from pirated cds at very low rate. Then how the music industry can still survive in india. And if downloading music from free site like songs.pk is illegal then why govt. do not put ban on these sites.
@shobha- but the people always buy the pirated cd because it cost 5 times less than the originals.

Most of the world still cannot afford the luxury of a home computer and so will still continue to buy from stores where available. They still can make money this way.

What Telecaster would be best to buy under $1100 and is great for blues/rock/country?

I been playing for five years and this will be my first Telecaster. I could really use the help

The basic American Standard is, well sort of the standard by which teles are judged. It has the classic twangy bite and smooth moderate output midrange that sing out sweet and clear. But try out a Thinline semi-hollow too, maybe even one with the Fender chrome humbucker pickups with only 6 pole pieces.
Any of them will have a bit more pop if you get a guitar with an ash body rather than alder. Ash has more treble and a bit less mids.
Go to someplace that stocks several types and experiment. You’re planning to outlay enough for a really good guitar. If one of the Mexican models feels really right you would have enough in your budget for different pickups. But be sure you like the neck and hardware as much or more than the USA models first.

Is there unwritten rule about not dancing at blues shows?

Just back from a blues festival and lots of head bopping but hardly any dancing. Can you enlighten me about this? Was it just a weird cultural phenoneon? Or is there a ‘too cool’ to dance quotient factor I am unaware of?

Heck No.

What are some good blues artists?

I already know about the obvious ones (Muddy Waters, B.B. King, etc). Which bands/artists would you recommend that I might not know about?

You would probably really like Rory Gallagher- he was an Irish blues/rock guitarist that is constantly rated in the top guitar players who ever lived. He was a scholar of the old blues masters, and played excellent slide, acoustic fingerstyle, and electric guitar, as well as being a great singer, an AMAZING songwriter with a very wide range, and a very entertaining live performer. He was Jimi Hendrix’s favorite guitarist.

Why do people bother reading album reviews?

I don’t get it.

You can easily download an album, listen to it, and form your own opinion of it. Also, I don’t understand why you would want to compare your own opinion with those of the people at Pitchfork or Rolling Stones or whatever. Most of the time, the reviews are garbage, at least from what I’ve read. Sometimes, I feel like I know more hip hop than some of these "critics". And the lines they pick out are always some unimpressive sh*t they try to pass off as dope. The only reason I can see for reading a review is for an album that hasn’t been released/leaked yet, and you’re anticipating it like hell (like the early Distant Relatives review on HipHopDX).
