On this new LP, Tobacco has arguably improved upon his sound, but is this new LP all that different from what we’ve heard from him and BMSR in the past? It’s a decent album, with a lot of great songs, but I find myself cherry-picking some while throwing others at the wayside. It’s a fun LP, and you shouldn’t expect the world of it. Tobacco is sounding as sweet as ever, and highly recommend trying this stuff out if you haven’t already.

What do you think of this LP? Love it? Hate it? Why?

7/10

The History of Blues Music: Part 3

Blues music took off.  People in the music industry began to notice the Blues performers and their songs.  More songs were made public and more songs were written. The record and sheet music companies began to market Blues music.  Blues became so popular that a lot of music was released with the word Blues in the title that were not actually Blues.  As the listeners increased the Blues became to be considered more middle of the road.  People could go out and hear Blues music in places that would have never promoted that style of music before.

I want to know what song/music they play when the PA Announcer announces the starting lineup for the VISITING team at Celtics games. There are no words, it’s just music and it has been the same for years. I don’t want to know anything about the Celtics starting lineup music, thank you though.

country makes people depressed, does the blues?

Actually the blues perk me up – always have. Because they have soul and don’t sound so twangy and depressing.

Now I know the metal heads believe their music is the true "devil’s music" but I find it more creepier to hear a good blues or folk song about the devil. So help me out, what are some good folk or blues songs that are about the devil?
